Upcoming Releases this Fall + Free Tickets
There is an ever-growing pile of new cds on my desk and even though I will eventually filter through them all, I’ve compiled a list of some of these new releases for you to keep an eye out for in the near future. I guarantee there’s something here for everyone!
Small Black are two friends curled up during one long winter and thawed out to release their catchy self-titled EP. Small Black are currently tucked away somewhere in Delaware recording their full-length. In the meantime, have a listen to “Despicable Dogs”.

Canadian power group, The New Pornographers, are just about to release their fifth full-length titled Together. Expect appearances from St. Vincent, Zach Condon of Beirut and Will Sheff of Okkervil River to join the octet in Together.

The National are back with a follow-up to their highly acclaimed 2007 record, Boxer. High Violet is their forth-coming record and you’ll be in for a treat if you thought Boxer was great.

No longer calling Brooklyn home, the ever-wonderful duo High Places have moved west and are constantly expanding their experimental aesthetic with their latest full-length, High Places VS Mankind.

Mr. Jeremy Jay has been a very busy man, producing almost an album a year. This year we will see a double release from Jeremy Jay – the first effort titled Splash is Jeremy Jay’s most infectious album to date, continuing his romanticised pop fantasy. Listen to the title track below.

As our answer to Camera Obscura, Perth’s Institut Polaire are adding the final touches to their upcoming record Make Your Own Mayflower. And if you’re Sydney next week, they’ll be previewing this release at World Bar.
