Seekae

Sydney’s Seekae have only been around for 3 years but they sound like true veterans. Their re-released debut of 2008 The Sound of Trees Falling on People (now bundled with a bonus remix EP) is exactly why. Their ambient sounds are well presented and structured pieces. Each song (including those on the remix EP) is stunning left minimal – the clarity is endless with plenty of room for growth and interpretation. Seekae is refreshing local talent in a field of their own.

[MP3] Seekae – Snax

The Sound of Trees Falling on People is out October 17 on Rice Is Nice records.

Also this is overdue, I know, but Seekae and label mates, Talons, have been nominated for this year’s Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards – mad props to them both.
